Lacrosse Funding Campaigns Make Championship Cut
FOR two of England lacrosse funding campaigns, this summer’s championship bids just got real.
England Lacrosse this week launched three lacrosse funding campaigns on PledgeSports.org, using the sports crowdfunding platform to open supporters clubs for the Men‘s and Women’s senior squads, and the Men’s U19 team.
Each has a major upcoming international goal that the lacrosse funding will go towards and details for the two men’s tournaments this July have been revealed.
The Men’s U19 Lacrosse Team are headed to British Columbia in Canada for the FIL U-19 Men’s Lacrosse World Championships from July 7-16. They will play 2012 World Championships runners-up Canada in their opening game on July 8, and World Champions, the US, five days later.
That game closes the group stages of the U-19 Men’s Lacrosse World Championships, with the final down for decision on July 16.
Two weeks later the Men’s Senior Lacrosse Team begins its defence of its ELF European Lacrosse Championships crown against four-time finalists Germany on July 28.
England will then play Latvia, the Czech Republic, hosts Hungary and Italy. The final is on August 6.
Both England men’s lacrosse teams are training hard in preparation for these summer targets, many of them also working and studying.
To take the pressure off the talented squads, England Lacrosse has launched supporters clubs to raise much-needed lacrosse funding for the World and European Championship players.
Give them the best chance of victory by supporting the England U-19 Men’s Lacrosse Team or England Men’s Lacrosse Team today.
