Sports Crowdfunding Campaign Of The Week: Sarinah Maduro

PledgeSports have the pleasure of working with some phenomenal athletes and teams. Each week we choose one of them as the PledgeSports “Sports Crowdfunding Campaign of the Week”.

Born and raised in the small Caribbean island of Curacao, Sarinah has been playing tennis since she was five. By the age of eight, she was competing in national tournaments, but by her own admission, she lost a lot, to begin with.

However, it would be these initial experiences that would shape the fantastic player that Sarinah has grown into today.

Through the help of her long-term coach, Jason Engelhardt, Sarinah has become hardworking, dedicated, eager to learn, and focused on her tennis career. And the results serve as proof as she is currently the No. 1 ranked U14 player in the country and among the top 10 players based in Central America and the Caribbean.

Her final goal for the year is to compete and the prestigious Eddie Herr International Junior Championships which take place in Florida this November.

Unfortunately, while Sarinah’s talent and ability to compete at this tournament is not in doubt, it is the financial side of things that are a barrier to the competition.

It is Sarinah’s dream to play in such an internationally reputable championship, but that will not be possible without your support. If you would like to support Sarinah you can do so by clicking here to visit her crowdfunding page.

Masha Masha Danki! (Thank you!)
