List of Wimbledon Winners – Men
The grass court season maybe the shortest and least abundant when it comes to tournaments, but it does hold the oldest and most prestigious tennis tournament of them all – Wimbledon.
Wimbledon is one of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments, the others being the Australian Open, the French Open and the US Open. Since the Australian Open shifted to hardcourt in 1988, Wimbledon is the only major still played on grass. Steeped in tradition, it’s still strictly all whites and has been played at the All England Club at Wimbledon in London since 1877.
Ladies winners during the open era
There are 2 players who will remain forever in the Wimbledon history books. Roger Federer, deservedly know as the G.O.A.T, (the greatest of all time) who has won Wimbledon 8 times and still counting and a total of 20 grand slams. And of course Martina Navratilova who has won an incredible 9 titles.
