The 2018 record goes to Mbappe, but it was actually negotiated in 2017. The Frenchman was technically on loan in the French capital last season, but the huge fee was an obligation this year, unless PSG had got relegated!
2. Cristiano Ronaldo – Real Madrid to Juventus – £105.3m
The shock of the summer was the move by Portuguese super athlete from the European champions and Ronaldo’s home for years to Juventus. And it seems he was worth it! Juventus won their 13th Coppa Italia title and fourth in a row, in a 4–0 win over Milan, extending the all-time record of successive Coppa Italia titles. Juventus also secured their seventh consecutive Serie A title.
