The NFC East Is Becoming A Force To Be Reckoned With

With three teams from the NFC East making the playoffs this season, the division has shown significant signs of progress this year.

As the Philadelphia Eagles look to win a second Super Bowl title in their history this term, there should also be plenty of optimism about the other franchises in the division.

The Eagles Leading The Charge

From a division that had its critics in the past, the level of the teams in the NFC East has come on leaps and bounds this season. The Eagles, who are currently priced at +250 in the Super Bowl odds, have been the standout team in the division, as they ended with a 14-3 record at the conclusion of the regular season. Finishing top of the NFC Conference, it’s little surprise to see Philly emerge as one of the favorites in American Football betting to go all the way this year. Head coach Nick Sirianni has done a great job since taking over from Doug Pederson in 2021 and is building something special at Lincoln Financial Field.

The Eagles boast some talented players on offense, with wide receiver A.J. Brown enjoying a superb campaign since his arrival from the Tennessee Titans. A big signing for the Eagles before the start of the season, the 25-year-old has delivered everything Philadelphia fans would have hoped for. With 11 touchdowns and 1,496 receiving yards through the regular season, Brown was a key weapon in the Eagles’ arsenal. Securing their place in the NFC Championship game after a 38-7 win over the New York Giants. Philadelphia has shown significant progress this season.

Foundations There For The Rest

Both the Giants and the Dallas Cowboys enjoyed solid regular seasons and secured their own places in the postseason action. Of course, the Giants’ run was to end at the Lincs with a defeat to the Eagles but there is a foundation to build on at MetLife Stadium, especially after their 31-24 shock wins at the Minnesota Vikings in the Wild Card Round.

As for Dallas, it was another season of “what if” as they saw their hopes of reaching the Super Bowl end in the Divisional Round with a 19-12 defeat to the San Francisco 49ers. The Cowboys had impressed the previous week with quarterback Dak Prescott impressing in a 31-14 win over Tom Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, tied at 9-9 going into the final quarter, it was the 49ers who were to edge out the victory over the Cowboys at Levi’s Stadium. While there will be the disappointment of another playoff defeat, there are still plenty of positives to take from the season for Dallas. Meanwhile, the Washington Commanders finished at the bottom of the division, they still finished with an 8-8-1 record for the regular season. Washington is starting to put together a strong roster in the capital and should be even more competitive next season.

The NFC East is becoming one of the toughest divisions in the NFL and might well produce another Super Bowl winner in the near future.
