Please help TEAM HALL rent a 2-man Bobsleigh for the 2019 World Championships in Whistler, Canada.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our page.  We are reaching out to our supporters and the public to enable us to rent a competitive 2-man Bobsleigh, giving us a chance at the World Championships next month.

UK sport have given us a Transition Grant this year to fund our 4-man team, but this does not cover the 2-man event. We need a top result at the World Championships in Whistler for continued support to the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games. We truly believe we are capable of this, if we can rent a world-class 2-man Bobsleigh.

The 3 things you need to be competitive in Bobsleigh are:

1- Start – we currently have one of the fastest starts in 2-man Bobsleigh.

2- Drive – we have an Olympian driver with great potential.

3- Equipment – Unfortunately we do not have a world-class 2-man Bobsleigh.

What we need

£1000 a week Bobsleigh hire for a total of 6 weeks – £6000

£6000 for international freight to and from Whistler, Canada.

If you are kind enough to donate

  • All donations will receive personal thanks from the team on social media and will receive a signed photo from the team.
  • Businesses may also have the opportunity for advertisement on our Bobsleigh.

UPDATE

So we’re a week or so into our fundraising and we’ve raised nearly £1500 which has allowed us to rent a 2man bobsleigh for the last 2 races. In the first race we had a personal best finish of 9th out of 23 in the 2man and in the second race we went one better and finished 8th! Really encouraging results with very little experience in the new sled but we’re keen to continue to progress towards the top as the World Championships are just around the corner. We still need your help to continue our journey and hope you can support us in anyway possible by donating or sharing our story. A massive thank you to everyone who’s donated this far we are all so grateful for your support and generosity!

UPDATE

After a very successful first 2 weeks using the new sleds we are still improving into the third week with another personal best result! 6th place in St Moritz which is Great Britain’s best 2man result in the World Cup for 13 years! Extremely happy with the progress we are making with a sled we have very little experience driving with. Now is time for a few weeks of hard training to prepare us for the World Championships in Canada in the beginning of March.
