Thank you for taking the time to read our story.
AABC is the second oldest boxing club in Scotland and was founded by Tommy Begg, then run by Adam Smith, who has passed it on to his son, and now head of the new committee, Leroy Smith. The club has always catered for all members of the community with volunteers running the club through a love of Boxing and a community spirit, we will continue to make Aberdeen a prominent name in Scottish amateur boxing.
Why we need your help
A couple years ago the club lost its premises due to local authority closures. Now, a group of enthusiastic and devoted people have taken on and completed industry recognised qualifications and decided to get the club open and running bigger and better. We have experience in management of sporting clubs, events and have national body sports qualified coaching staff on board. With plans to run technical boxing coaching for all levels alongside non contact box-fit type, with fitness industry recognised training and academic nutrition advice.
The club now has an official link with a local community sports hub in the North West of Aberdeen, where we will be offering diverse classes, have a permanent home and promised community commitment from us. The club will also take an active part in the promotion and competition of Scottish development boxing.
Thus, the fundraising is to give help the club with a financial start-up. All donations and reward purchases are gratefully received and we thank you in advance.
Kind regards
AABC
