My name is Amy Broadhurst. I’m 18 years old and I live in Dundalk, County Louth.

I’ve been boxing since the age of 7 and fell in love with the sport straight away. Since then I’ve won 11 Irish titles, a European Gold and Silver medal, a European Union Gold medal and have competed in World Championships – I was beaten in the quarter final by the overall winner.

My Father, who travels to every international competition with me, coaches me and coached my 3 brothers, along with other members in Dealgan Boxing Club.  He’s been with me from the very start.

On May 13 I will fly to Taiwan to compete in my second World Championships

A dream that’s long term for me is the Olympics. As a young child that has been the biggest picture of all. I’m 18 years old and have the opportunity to try and qualify for the Olympics in 2016, 2020, 22024 and possibly 2028. Anybody who wants to support me on my journey to Olympic glory is welcome and would be very much appreciated! All Funds would help me with boxing gear  and equipment and also with foods as I box at 57kg and have to keep a strict diet for several weeks. I’m also unemployed as I’m training full time to try to achieve my goals.

Thank you for reading my story, share and support if you can.
