Dymock Cricket Club, a village cricket club in rural Gloucestershire are looking at bringing back a competition known as the Dymock Knockout Cup. The competition hasn’t run for several years and is now starting again.
The Knockout Cup used to be a large tournament in the local area with many smaller and larger local sides taking part and came to a natural conclusion around 2010 with no one to run the competition. This years tournament 4 teams involved with the finals day which consists of 2 semi finals and a final on the day. There will be music, a barbecue and the bar will be open hopefully creating a festival atmosphere. In the coming years we are planning to expand both with entering teams and what happens on finals day.
Due to being a small club, Dymock are unable to find the money to acquire what Is needed for the day. If if you can help please do. We can’t offer much in return but we can include your name in the match day programme and send a copy as a memento of the day.
