Hi Everybody,

My name is Aston Cook and I am 21 years old. I live in Bristol and currently in my final year of studying Sports Business Management at the University of Worcester. My aim is to raise £700 by the 26th November to get me to the European Kickboxing Championships held in Athens, Greece to represent Great Britain.

I have been competing within the sport for 14 years, and currently a member of Team GB. I also compete alongside 2 club teams; Team Bristol which I train with up to 5 times a week and Top Ten UK an international team which I train with up to once a month as well as GB which we train 6 times within the competition calendar as well as training camps held all over the country.  To represent my country this year I  had to win the British Championships as well as complete grueling training camps to get to this level.

During those 14 years I have won many World, European and British Titles, from competing in USA, Canada, Austria, Amsterdam, Italy, Belgium, Greece, Ireland as well as all over the UK. Last year I achieved a Bronze medal in the World Championships held across 7 days in Dublin. Unfortunately I lost in my semi finals however this has given me the determination and passion to get to the top of the podium in this years European Championships. I compete internationally up to 8  times per year as well competing most weekends in the UK.

Alongside all of my training I am also in full time education. I have found this extremely difficult to manage my academic time with my training time however I have found that managing my time and staying focused on my goals allows me to achieve the very best in my academic study as well as my kickboxing achievements . I also work as a kickboxing and fitness instructor several days per week which allows me to fund a small contribution to my travel and kickboxing expenses. I am also extremely fortunate and lucky to have parents who support and fund my journey, from the age of 7 they have not only financially supported me by been by my side every step of the way through win and loss.

If I could raise £700 by the end of November this will give me the best opportunity to achieve my gold medal in the European Championships. In the lead up to the event I have many training camps all over the UK to prepare me for the best possible chance of achieve my dream goal.

Unfortunately none of this comes at a small expenses I would be extremely grateful for all the support donated no matter how big or small.
