Support

It all started a few years ago when I arranged a training camp for a number of U12 & U14 girls during the Rugby Europe F18 tournament in Sweden. Since then I have run the “Gör ett Försök” (give it a try/make a try)-project in the Stockholm area, inspiring girls to try (and keep playing) rugby. This means that me and the players from the camp have kept in contact since then, and this autumn I got inspiration to try to gather them and their team mates to get a F16 team to the Prague Youth Rugby Tournament in April. This crazy idea from me was very well received, and we now have 14 players from 6 different clubs teaming together to go to Prague to play in April 6-8 2018.
As we are not that many rugby girls in that age in the Stockholm area, this is an exceptional feat!

Our Schedule

Nov-March – regular trainings together as a team, approximately every other week. (the longest trip to training is 1h in car…)
April 6 – Early flights to Prague. Sightseeing and trainings, hopefully w some Czech teams.
April 7 – Prague Youth Rugby Tournament April edition
April 8 – Trainings and/or friendlies and sights. Late flight back to Stockholm.

Why support us?

This pledge is for all of you who, like me, would really like to help the girls to make this trip a great experience and a good adventure, so that they stay in the sport and grow the game we all love.
We are not specifically aiming to win, we are aiming to play as well as possible, learn and have fun, and that will probably be more important in the long run.

Another great way to support us is to spread the word, and try to inspire other U16 girls teams to go to Prague this spring – opposition is good and new friends are great!

Indoor training in winter, thanks to your support

Thanks to your support we could rent the indoors artificial grass at Vinnarhallen, at Bosön and have a joint training in spite of the cold weather. This would not have been possible without your support! - see pictures above :)

We'll soon be off to the Prague

Easter is over and we are quickly running towards the trip to Prague (*very* early Friday morning (april 6) :). I must once again thank all of you supporters, as this helped us train several times after Christmas, in spite of the weather growing unusually cold and all the outdoor pitches were covered with ice for weeks. Your support covered most of our cost for indoor pitches and we feel these occations will be vital for our chances of playing as a team in the tournament. Not least we'll make sure give everyone a chance on the pitch and have fun on and off the pitch!
