My name is Mark O’Donovan and Im a heavyweight rower looking to qualify for the 2020 games. I am a World and European Champion in the lightweight pair and had an unbeaten season in 2017.  I am a hard working athlete with passion, dedication, attitude, motivation, focus and a sense of humour! I am looking to partner with a company that shares my characteristics, as I focus on my performance goals for Tokyo 2020.

So what am I taking about?

Sport Ireland don’t have enough funds to support me financially after meeting criteria to be awarded €20,000/year for the next two years in the lead up to the olympics. This effects my preparation in aiming to qualify a boat for Ireland in the Olympic Games In Tokyo 2020. Adding additional stress while completing a Masters in Science.

Understanding the importance of security around both the quality of our nutrition and comfort of where I will rest my head, but also the necessary technical support around maintaining and further developing my performance levels for the next 18 months. The support given will enable me to training as hard as I can and compete internationally in preparation to qualify for the 2020 games.
