My name is Austin Hall I am 20 years old and currently study Air Transport Management at Loughborough University. I started triathlon when I was 15 years old after successfully competing for Suffolk on the Cross Country circuit. I used to be a club swimmer as well and therefore Triathlon was the natural progression for me. Earlier this year (August 2017) I qualified to represent the Great Britain Age Group Triathlon Team for the 2018 Standard Distance European Championships due to be held in Estonia in July. This was after I gained an automatic qualification spot at the Anglican Water Triathlon.

Being a student, funds are somewhat limited which is why my goal is to raise £400. This will be used to pay for the entry to the race and the team kit.

I am based at Loughborough University where I juggle my training with my degree. I have 16 hours worth of scheduled training per week (twice/day) where I train with the Loughborough AU Triathlon Club. We have 5 dedicated coaches which include Great Britain coaches and current professional triathletes.

Whilst I was surprised to qualify in my first season of having dedicated coaches and a full season training structure, it shows my level of commitment, determination, motivation and the hard work I am prepared to do. My goal is to finish top 10 in this race, where I will be competing against experienced athletes from all over Europe.
