In 2011 the Island Games were held on the Isle of Wight and it inspired me to start to shoot again after a break of almost 20 years. In 2015 I was honoured to take part in my first Games in Jersey and so proud to win 3 Gold and 1 Silver medals as an individual and part of the Ladies Clay Shooting team.

The 2017 Games is to be held in Gotland Sweden and I’m delighted to have been selected to take part along with my teammate Joe Joseph. The team only consists of the 2 of us at this Games as Sweden do not allow the use of Lead shot and I have had to purchase a gun especially to enable me to take part. With this extra not insignificant outlay (approximately £1000) I find myself in need of a bit of help to get me the last step to Gotland.

I would like to thank everyone who has already helped and would be very grateful if you could help me reach my target to help me ‘Get to Gotland!’

Sweden is somewhere I have always wanted to visit, ok yes I’m an ABBA fan! But to be able to again represent my Island and hopefully bring back the Bling would be awesome!
