Hi, my name is Kamran Zeynalov (25 yrs), to my knowledge the first Azeri born PGA Golf Professional. I’m currently based at Portlethen, Aberdeenshire (Scotland)

When growing up in Baku, golf was unheard of and it wasn’t until I arrived in Scotland as a young kid was I introduced to the game of golf and I’ve been hooked on it ever since.

From 2007 – 2013 I won the following as an amateur:

• North East Schools Championship – 2007

• Junior Club Championship – 2007 & 2008

• Banchory Junior Open – 2008

• Portlethen – Mens Order of Merit – 2012

Encouraged by my amateur success I turned Professional in 2013 and since then I’ve competed on the Tartan Tour as a PGA Assistant Professional. This has led to achieving the following results:

In July 2017, in addition to completing the Foundation Degree in Science (Professional Golf Studies) through University of Birmingham I was elected to membership of the PGA (GB&I) which now gives me additional playing opportunities.

As a PGA Professional Golfer currently competing on the Tartan Tour, I am driven to develop as a player, however the only way I’m going to achieve this is through gaining experience on the following playing circuits: Algarve Tour, Europro, EPD/Pro Golf Tour (Germany), European Challenge Tour and the European Tour & PGA Tour

In order to fulfill my dreams & ambitions, I am committed to investing my time and energy to achieve my goals. However, none of this will be achievable without the necessary finance. Currently there are no funding opportunities available either through the sport or through government, therefore I am appealing to your generosity to privately fund the necessary resources; travel costs, accommodation, membership fees & entry fees – to achieve my goals.

My plan:

Short term(1 year) – Play events on the Algarve Tour in the off season to prepare for Europro Qualifying School and then aim to be in the top 5 of the Order of Merit to progress to the Challenge Tour.

Medium term(3 years) – Gain full playing rights and compete regularly on the European Challenge Tour.

Long term (5 years) – Gain a full card on the European Tour through the Challenge Tour.
