Hi! My name is Ryan Schmidt and I need your help to fulfil a childhood dream of mine. When I was 8 years old I saw my first ever Go-Kart in action. From that day I persistently asked my parents for one of my own. But we could never afford it. Now I’m 22 years old and have re-lit that same passion for Kart racing.

My great uncle Karl used to race with some great racing names such as Nigel Mansell in Formula Ford. I only found this out when he passed away 2 years ago. He couldn’t advance any further due to lack of sponsorship, which leaves me thinking of what could have been. What could he have achieved? What could I achieve?

I have always been a motorsport enthusiast, the real dream is to reach F1. Maybe that is a bit far fetched, but you are meant to follow your dreams.

I want to make my dad proud and carry on his uncles’ legacy.

Finding this platform has given me hope that maybe there’s a small chance of this becoming a reality for me. I’ve always struggled to find what I REALLY want to do with my life… and I think this is it.
