I am a professional Squash Player from Hull, East Yorkshire. I have been playing squash since I was 8 years old, following in my parents footsteps. I grew up at my local squash club where I still play today and spent most of my childhood on court. When I turned 18 I went to university but knew it wasnt what I wanted to do. My dream was to play squash professionally….so I followed my heart and dropped out to pursue it. I spent 3 years on the tour and reached a World Ranking of 43 and won the Under 23 British Chmapionships. But it all came to an end as I  struggled to find financial sponsorship so at the age of 22 I retired from the sport I loved.

5 years on and everything changed in my life. I was determined not to have any regrets and I knew if I didn’t atleast try to find a way to fulfill my dream I would. So after the Allam British Open came to Hull in 2014, I quit my full time job and took a big gamble. I had to use my savings to fund everything from training to equipment to flights for tournaments across the world.

But its been worth it and I’ve never looked back…………….

In 3 years I have taken my world ranking from 211 to a career high of 25. With limited funding, I have won 6 PSA tour titles, and I have beaten 3 players ranked within the world top 20 along the way.

Last season I competed in 11 tournaments across the World including all 6 World series events (Grand slams) in countries such as USA, Hong Kong, Canada, Malaysia, and China. I made the quarter final of the National Championships in February.

I gained my first Senior England cap in June playing in the European Championships in Helsinki where we took the title and also represented Team GB at the World Games in Poland in July where I finished 4th.

I still have to fund all of my flights and accommodation at each tournament as well as training costs back home but I can’t continue to do this.

My goals are to reach the Top 10 in the World and to get picked to play for England in the Commonwealth Games in 2018. I am looking for funding to support me with the costs and to get me through the most important season of my career.
