Hello my name is Leon Hofmann, I am 9 Years old (born 07.08.2008) and I live in Germany.
My biggest passion is playing tennis and I have been playing since I was 4 years old. At the beginning I was training once a week but my talent was discovered very soon and I was sent to a professional coach.
After I went to a professional coach I started winning tournament after tournament. I am even winning without losing a single game against players that I have lost before. That’s also a reason why I’m already competing in older age categories because I need to be challenged.
Some of my biggest achievements:
– District champion of our tennis district A in Württemberg (Germany) in the age category U10.
– Vice-champion of our state Württemberg in the age category U10
– Winner of the Champions Bowl qualifying tournament and therefore qualified for the German Masters in August 2018 (the winner of this tournament goes to the world tournament in Croatia)
How much do I practice:
I practice 4 to 5 times a week, at least 2 hours mostly more.
I also do strength and conditioning training about 1-2 hours a day
Where I need help:
I am one of the best tennis players of my age category in Germany therefore there is not much competition for me here.
That is why me, my family and my coach decided to prepare me for the tennis europe junior tour.
My coach has a lot of experience there because he also coaches 2 junior players who also compete all around the world and are one the best tennis players of their age category in Germany (both winner of the German masters).
But for all that I need money to cover traveling costs, equipment, training lessons and much more. I hope you can support me with that.
Some personal information about me:
My favorite player is Rafael Nadal and I want to be as good as him one day. I have read his book which inspired me to be as ambitious as him. On my tournaments I am calm, I don’t scream, I don’t shout, I don’t throw my racket.
I try to be as a fair player as I can be. I fight for every single ball and I never ever give up.
