Hello there and thank you for visiting my pledge page!

Some of you may know and remember my journey from a previous campaign- hello again, good to have you back. For you newbies reading- welcome to my page! I’m Rachel a skeleton athlete in the GB Skeleton Talent Squad who is currently training towards the 2022/2026 Winter Olympic Games.

I have just finished my first full year of training and sliding on the programme and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I have developed and learned so much over the past 12 months, and am looking forward to seeing how much more I improve this season.

With a new Olympic cycle underway, and having watched the success of the GB Skeleton team in Pyeongchang this Winter Olympics, it makes me even more motivated and determined to achieve my goal. I’m sure you all watched the Games and were as ecstatic as I was when Lizzy retained her Olympic title, whilst both Laura and Dom won bronze! This incredible achievement just adds to the successful history of British Skeleton who can boast an Olympic medal at every Games since it was reintroduced back in Salt Lake City, 2002.

My dream is to follow in their footsteps and become a Winter Olympic (GOLD) medallist. I have the best coaches and support staff to achieve it; and have all the passion, dedication and determination to get there. But what I need to ensure I can continue training to the best I can and to help make that dream a reality is the support from people like you.

I am hoping to raise £3000 to support me whilst I train full-time in Bath over the summer.  Your generous donations will primarily go towards living costs (including food, rent, bills, travel), but also towards purchasing new visors for my helmet.

I really hope you can support me on my journey and any contribution you can make (however small) will be hugely appreciated.

If anybody is interested in personally sponsoring me please do contact me on [email protected] and I will happily discuss this with you further.

Thank you for visiting

Rachel
