After having a successful sports career during high school, winning numerous accolades and titles in Romania but also in Europe, I’ve decided to continue my career in the United States of America. In the U.S. I was recruited and offered a full scholarship at Boise State University where I studied Political Sciences with an emphasis in International Relations. During my years at Boise State University I accumulated important experiences both cultural and professional which will aid me as I move on in life.
Recently, upon graduating from Boise State Univ. I decided to return to my home country Romania and continue my athletic career with the end goal of participating to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. So far the road has proven to be difficult due to substantial financial costs that are required on a daily basis to cover my physiotherapy sessions, supplements, travel, training, recovery and daily life expenses, but I still managed to improve my performances and stay on the right track towards my dream. Since my return to Romania, I managed to participate at both outdoor and indoor European Athletics Championships, in Berlin and Glasgow, so I am very confident that I will continue to improve.
Overall, I believe that with the required amount of money at my disposal I will have more chances to achieve the Olympic qualifying standard for the 200m and thus I will complete my dream! I plan to invest it to buy a NormaTec recovery device; full medical checkup and tests to see what I am lacking and needs supplementing; injury prevention; travel to competitions; and anything that might happen that will stir me from my path.
Thank you for your time and contribution!
