Bridgefield Water Polo Club wants to build on its success in regional and national water polo competitions in 2015 by taking a squad of young players to the established BWMF Tournament in Lloret De Mar in Spain, this August.
It will be the first time Bridgefield Water Polo Club has done this and an amazing opportunity for all to meet and compete with water polo teams from all over Europe. We hope you can help us achieve this!
About us
Established in 1989 and based in Merseyside UK, Bridgefield Water Polo Club is a competitive water polo club, committed to the development of young water polo players and the advancement and promotion of water polo in the UK.
Bridgefield is a SWIM 21 recognised club, aligned with the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) and operates as a Regional Training Centre (RTC) for Water Polo development – a function that is crucial to the future of UK water polo.
Our 13 and under squad of boys train regularly and often together. They are instilled with a strong sense of teamwork, competitiveness and sportsmanship, and are expected to act as Ambassadors in Europe, not only for our club, but for UK water polo in general.
Our problem
With UK funding of water polo having been withdrawn drastically in recent years, it’s important that British Water Polo, at all levels, is still represented and recognised on the European and International stage.
This is where Water Polo has a much higher profile and where our young players are afforded the opportunity to compete and develop alongside our European and International counterparts.
Where you come in
By helping to fund our journey and entry to this tournament, your contribution will go towards giving our young players an exciting and memorable experience, encouraging a future generation of water polo players, and supporting UK Water Polo at grass-roots level.
Whether you are an active member of the water polo community, family or friend of a water polo person, fellow aquatics sportsperson, business or organisation, or even just an interested individual, we hope that you will help with our campaign.
You will find an example donation listed below, but we will be grateful for contributions of any amount which you can make to help us achieve our goal.
Many thanks
