Hi everyone,

My name is Chloe Spiteri, I am 25 years old and the current Senior British Wrestling Champion and 2014 Commonwealth Games finalist.

As many are aware, GB Wrestling lost its elite UK Sport funding and, as a result, there are no senior wrestling teams – unless you can self fund. However, many, including me, have not let this get in the way of pursuing our dreams and mine is  competing at the Rio 2016 Olympics.

I have only been competing full-time and unsupported for 3 years and I am already competing and training on the world stage against the best.

I have achieved some great results this 2015 season and now I am in an urgent situation where I need to attend a vital training camp during July-August to help me prepare the best I can for the World Wrestling Championships and first Olympic Qualifier in September, in Las Vegas.

This training camp is in Columbia with the world’s best coaching staff and wrestlers and I have been personally invited to train there for free with their national wrestling team – I only have to pay for my flights and travel, which come to around £1,300.

I would really appreciate it if you could help donate towards these costs and help me raise the funds I need to attend this camp, so that I can prepare best as possible.
