A group of young performance divers from Sheffield, Leeds and Bradford Diving Clubs are aiming to raise £1000 to attend a 5-day training camp in Croatia. These Clubs from the Yorkshire area have joined together to give talented athletes an opportunity to fulfil their potential. The camp will provide a chance for club divers and coaches to work together, sharing best practice and training techniques. The group of 18 divers aged 10-16 years will travel over 1200 miles to Rijeka, Croatia. It is an important part of their programme to becoming independent athletes and gives them a chance to learn to dive in an outdoor pool environment.

 

These dedicated young athletes train up to 8 times a week, their ambition being to represent their Club and Country in the future. There is a high cost and level of commitment involved with the elite sport of diving. Parents and Guardians have to find the funds to enable their children to continue to train 6 days per week and compete regionally and nationally. All funds raised will help support the costs involved in this international diving camp and helping these dedicated young athletes realise their ambition.
